Michel Kambi is a Belgian-Congolese designer. The designer aims to bring a unique perspective and insight that encourages conversation in his work. He received his Bachelor’s in Industrial product design at Howest University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk and is pursuing his Master's in product design at LUCA School of Arts/KU Leuven in Genk and has a background in Electromechanics. Combining the more technical discipline acquired throughout his studies in electromechanics and merging them with the more creative side of design, he tries to bring a balanced design approach focused on form, functionality, and creativity.

His field of action in design extends to objects, experience, and furniture. His vision is to tell a story through his designs with as purpose of reflecting on who he is where he comes from and what he stands for by imagining the world of tomorrow using its multicultural heritage from design, history and cultures.

Inspired by different cultures and his heritage, Michel's works reflect the merging of cultures. His work essentially reflects his environment (the streets in the broad sense) and those who bring it to life (the different people and cultures), he tries to absorb it, reinterpret it, and transcribe it into a unique visual form language. Industry, architecture, photography, history, and art are also sources of inspiration for his creations.
